Game Recap

A 15-run explosion in the third inning carried Maynard Jackson to a 17-0 win in three innings over Douglass on Friday.

Maynard Jackson scored in the third on a two-run error, a passed ball, an RBI single by Justin Bronson, a passed ball, a passed ball, an RBI single by Will Harris, an RBI single by Mercer Buechner, a walk by Monquerious Edwards, a passed ball, an error, a passed ball, a walk by Will Harris, a passed ball, and an error.

It was a good day at the plate for Maynard Jackson’s Lorenzo Maddox. Maddox went 2-3, drove in one and scored three runs. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the third inning.

Douglass couldn’t get anything going as long as Tyquavious Noland was pitching. Douglass managed just one hit off of Noland, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out nine during his three innings of work.

Maynard Jackson didn’t relinquish the lead after scoring two runs in the first inning when it scored on an error.
