If you haven’t heard, the Maynard Jackson Cross Country team is getting some recognition in the community. As a preview of things to come, some of the cross country runners participated in the Adams Realtor Run for the Park 5k this past Saturday as part of the Summer Shade Festival at Grant Park. They donned their jerseys and represented the school with pride and honor.

Sophomore, Alex Roberson, came in fourth overall and first in his age group (15-19) with Liam Dennis, also a sophomore, right on his heels with fifth overall and second in his age group (15-19). Freshman, Ethan Heyns finished first in his age group (11-14), seventh overall. All three runners finished in under 21 minutes… setting the bar high for this year’s team! And it didn’t stop there. Freshmen, Joe Vatalaro and Kol Greenbaum, placed third and fourth in their age group (11-14). Spencer Scott placed fifth in his age group (15-19). Among the females, freshman, Elanor Finlayson, placed first in her age group (11-14) and  sophomore, Krishni Ihrig, placed second in her age group (15-19). Ava Carubia (11-14) and Lena Mandeville (15-19) placed fourth in their ages groups. The crowd definitely knew the Jaguar team was there to represent. MJJ… All Day!!
