Jackson (29-1) faced Beach County High School in Augusta on Saturday February 27, 2016 at 6:30pm. This was a highly anticipated match up and the Lady Jaguars were ready for the test.
Jackson came out running and shooting well. Keimeshia Walker knocked down a pair of treys, one of them kissing off the glass, in the first half when she scored 12 of her game-high 18 points.
Kayla Mayfield had nine of her 15 points in the first half for the Jaguars.
Erica Gibbons played well down low and contributed 16 points, while Tiernee Smith had nine and Tamara White chipped in with eight for Jackson.
Beach trailed by 19 midway through the second quarter but battled back to close the deficit to 34-22 at the half.
Dy’Manee Royal had 17 points and 15 rebounds in her final game with the Bulldogs, scoring 13 in the second half. Sophomore Ja’breika Bass had 16 points and eight boards, and junior Judasia Hills knocked down three treys among her 15 points, while grabbing 11 rebounds. Sophomore guard Tatiannya Morris had 12 points for the Bulldogs, who ended the season with a 27-5 record.
Jackson with a record of (30-1) will face 2015 AAA State Champion Morgan County (27-3). The Lady Jaguars are primed to finish the season off with a championship and it will take everyone to come out and cheer the jaguars to victory. The game will take place at the Macon Centreplex in Macon Georgia on Saturday March 5, 2016 at 3pm.
